Mentor Rural is a Social Enterprise(A Global Platform for Rural Development) set up in 2010 working in Social Sectors with burning desire to address the most pressing challenges of our Farmers as well as Rural Communities for the purpose of Agriculture & Rural Development(Organic Farming Revolution) and taking care of the poorest, particularly Farmers first and last, laced with a beyond the horizon synergistic capability and vision.
Profile of Agri Start-Up :-
We are an Agri start- up sponsored by Ministryof Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Govt. of India under (RKVY – RAFTAAR) scheme and incubated at Bhagalpur Agriculture University(BAU), SABOUR, Bihar in Start-up Agri business incubation program(SAIP-I).
Our Function :-
We are offering End to End solution starting from soil management to price management(Agro advisory – soil/water testing-seed-ferlitizer-crop protection- farm machinery – Agro technology – Market Linkages) for food crops and medicinal & aromatic plants to our farmers. It is helping them to get quality agri-input at low cost, better farm production & productivity(quality produce) resulting into better market price(sustainable income through agriculture).
Primary Goal
1. Our primary goal is to build a concrete foundation on which Rural Communities will build their dream careers. As Henry Devid Thoreau rightly put in Walden, ” If you have built up castle in the air, your work need not be lost, that is where they should be. Now put the foundation under them. And we are here to help lay that foundation for Agriculture Development (Organic Farming Revolution).”
2. As we know that there are two components of Developed Nation.
- Societal Transformation
- Revenue Generation (As per Dr. A.P. J. Abdul Kalam Sir, the Former President of India and a world- Renowned Space Scientist).
3. Our father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi also dreamt of Empowering Rural India, Gandhi’s concept that Rural India should develop for wholesome development of the country because India lives in its villages.
4. Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhay, a great Social worker, an ageless visionary, a renowned thinker, an expert organiser gave the concept, which means the last man in the last line will get the benefit of the Democracy and that is real litmus test of our Democracy. These Great leaders and their works are the greatest source of inspiration
